Jordan Driving School of the Carolinas, Inc., (JDSCarolinas) was founded on April 15, 2008. JDSCarolinas is a division of Jordan Driving School, Inc. (JDS) of Charlotte and Raleigh. Our sister company is one of the largest and most successful driving school in the United States serving more the 25,000 students. JDSCarolinas is committed to upholding the highest quality and standards established by JDS. This commitment shall enabled JDSCarolinas to effectively serve the driver education needs of both the public and private sectors in North Carolina. JDSCarolinas presently contracts in three school systems in North Carolina serving approximately 3500 students. These school systems include the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools, Franklin County Schools, and the Nash-Rocky Mount Schools. Concern for the student’s needs and welfare are priorities with JDSCarolinas. Our driving school is always prepared to work with other school systems throughout the state or outside of North Carolina. JDSCarolinas is now available to provide private instruction separate from working with our public school systems.
The success of JDSCarolinas is contributed to a commitment to professionalism and quality. JDSCarolinas recruits instructors in the following manner: (1) Department of Public Instruction Certified Driver Education Instructors, (2) Certified Teachers who complete the 80 hour DMV certified course and (3) Professional and non-certified teachers who complete the 80 hour DMV certified course. JDSCarolinas presently has 35 instructors. Most classroom instructors are State Department of Public Instruction certified teachers. JDSCarolinas requires its instructor to be members of both the North Carolina Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association and the American Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association.
JDSCarolinas home office is located in the Rocky Mount, NC area with a full-time staff. JDSCarolinas is available for instruction throughout most of Eastern North Carolina and the Triangle. The President/CEO holds a BS Degree from East Carolina University in Education and a Masters degree in Administrative Education from Campbell University. Mr. Jordan has taught Driver Education in North Carolina for over seventeen years. Mr. Jordan is also a member of the North Carolina Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association and the American Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association. He presently serves as an officer in the NCDTSEA.
