We offer private instruction for teens and adults as well as driver improvement classes. In addition to private instruction, JDS Carolinas is the current provider/contractor for three public school systems in North Carolina. The three systems we provide Driver Education for are: Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools, Franklin County Schools, and Nash-Rocky Mount Schools.
Our commercial driving instructors are certified by the DMV, and members of the America Driver and Traffic Safety Association and the North Carolina Driver and Traffic Safety Association. JDS Carolinas serves clients from the Triangle (greater Raleigh) area, most of Eastern North Carolina and those with traffic violations incurred anywhere in the United States.
Our Driving Instruction Programs Include:
- Classroom Instruction: The goal of our classroom program is to prepare our students for their behind the wheel instruction. With continuous practice, our students are expected to acquire the knowledge of traffic regulations and laws, as well as make them aware of the importance of safe responsible driving in and type of weather conditions. In the classroom setting, we utilize comprehensive and well-illustrated manuals, visuals, instructional video/power-point presentations, and interactive computer technology.
- Behind the Wheel Instruction: Our Behind the Wheel instruction is done by highly-qualified, DMV-certified instructors in vehicles, specially equipped with additional mirrors and brakes necessary for driver instructor. Our clients and students progress from simple maneuvering and driving in safe areas such as parking lots or neighborhoods. We also do our best to accommodate our students’ and their families’ unique schedules. We come to YOU and are delighted to assist in home, school, work, and other schedules.
- Driver Improvement: JDS Carolinas offers driver improvement courses to help reduce points on their driver’s license and insurance. Our driver improvement classes satisfy the requirements for 4, 6, and 8-hour defensive driving instruction which is mandated by the United States courts.
